The HRT Story – A New Age Indeed

Dear Dr. DJ –

How can I miss the opportunity to say thanks again for your adamant position regarding my stopping any form of HRT, even the natural blend I had been taking a short time after FAS! As usual, you were on target, and now the entire world is being given an official eye opener!!
Might I say that my latest pelvic exam was normal again, this time performed by ultrasound by my own brother, whose training is quite conservative and would have preferred a hysterectomy for me almost four years ago. And now, by his own professional admission, my uterus is within normal limits. How can anyone argue with success?? I had to grin.. but of course, he is very happy for me, yet still in some kind of disbelief…
As for me, I have been quite busy traveling abroad, developing my clientele, organizing my upcoming seminar presentation at a major expo – the only one discussing financial matters from a spiritual perspective – and writing. Even in these challenging times one can find solutions to seemingly impossible situations. That’s why I do what I do, with the appreciation that only someone who has been through the school of hard knocks has the gumption to turn life around.
Please convey my regards to everyone on your staff including the dedicated personnel at Temple Hospital. And keep the flame alive!

Mica

Hello Lavieta,

I have been thinking of you, and as you can see I am doing quite well too. Here is something I wrote about friends and about this turbulent world of ours.

From a friend with love – Mica

A FRIEND

A friend to me is one who loves
To give part of himself,
No matter what, no matter when
Life’s race is cold and vain;

A friend to me is one who loves
To offer all he has,
Today and always, days and nights
As often as one sighs;

A friend to me is one who loves
To laugh at life’s old twists,
Including mine, including his
Rhetorical contests;

A friend to me is one who swears
By all the treasures lost,
Yet start again, and lose as well
As far as he can dwell;

A friend to me is one who can
Admit mistakes or shame,
Yet realize all is not stained
When love and truth prevail;

A friend to me is one like you
With me for a lifetime,
At least I know you’re closer by
From dawn to twilight.

A PERFECT WORLD

A perfect world is one in which
I wouldn’t have to swim
In rivers, oceans beyond reach
And sadness beyond scream;

A perfect world is one in which
I wouldn’t have to cry
For oh, so many broken wings
Still learning how to fly;

A perfect world is one in which
I wouldn’t have to grasp
Meanings lost, yet still so rich
Beyond the human mask;

A perfect world is one in which
I wouldn’t have to run
Away from you, yet try to catch
My loves lost over time;

A perfect world is one in which
I wouldn’t have to fly
From tree to tree, from lake to ditch
To find a butterfly;

A perfect world is one in which
I wouldn’t have to write
Because my words would need no pitch:
They would infuse your mind;

A perfect world is one in which
I wouldn’t have to dream
Of souls now gone, or spirits’ reach
Because we are as one!
