I had fibroids removed 2 years ago and after a recent visit to my ob/gyn I am being told that they have regrown and they are approx. the size of 10 weeks. I have no children…what are my chances of becoming pregnant.

Dear Charm-
Thank you for your posting to our weblog.
You are another classic example of the ineffective results of traditional myomectomy.
Your fibroids did not “regrow”-they were probably not all removed during your first surgery. It is critical to get ALL tumors, or the disease will continue to spread.
Pregnancy will depend on the size and the location of your existing tumors…larger and deeper tumors and those lining the endometrial cavity will effect pregnancy the most. As well as tumors near the top of your uterus..these can block the opening of the fallopian tubes into the endometrial cavity and prevent an implantation.
Our surgical procedure, FAS, would remove these tumors, and hopefully allow a normal pregnancy.
Good luck to you
