I was diagnosed with fibroids and for a year received Lupron depot shots to shrink them. Since the cessation of the shots, I have started to experience some other problems. Now when my uterus is stimulated and contracts, I pass brown clots.Neeedless to say this has put a hault to my sexual activities. Is it normal to experience this after prolong use of Lupron depot?

Dear Sandy-
The passing of “brown clots” usually indicates old blood that may be trapped in your uterus.
If this is associated with Lupron…we are unaware, as we do not and never have recommended its use in our program. There are too many untoward potential side effects of the drug.
