How long does someone have to wait until she can start abdominal exercise after her complete hysterectomy. I have heard some wait until 3 months, and some start right after the last check up per the the doctor.

Dear Sabrina-
The time frame for beginning abdominal exercise after surgery depends on the incision type…
With a vertical incision many physicians want patients to wait longer in order for the abdominal wall to heal. If you have a horizontal low incision, patients can begin exercise at approximately 6 weeks post surgery.
We would recommend you check with your Doctor what his protocol is.
