my sister is going in for surgery to remove fibroid tumors, 6-17-99. her doctor wants to do a partial hysterectomy just in case. although my sister does not have any problems other than the fibroid tumors they want to do a hysterectomy in case she have a problem later on in life.

is it beneficial to my sister to have the second procedure done?

Dear Vernessa-there is never a reason for a partial or complete hysterectomy for the diagnosis of fibroids. if your sister cannot successfully get a myomectomy, in her area, then Female Alternative Surgery is an option. I will remove the fibroids and reconstruct the uterus. please refer to the website for more information, specifically the section on post hysterectomy complications.
