Hi. I have been diagnosed with moderate dysplasia and had a LEEP procedure done. The tissue excised showed the dysplasia had progressed into the margin (?) and my doctor offered me the option of hysterectomy now or a pap in three months and if still dysplastic, hysterectomy then. Should I wait? My family is complete, my husband has had a vasectomy, so the idea of a hysterectomy is not the issue, I’m just wondering if I should wait or not. Thanks.

Dear Karen-
Your decision is a personal one. Since a hysterectomy is a very final and irreversible decision, I would probably recommend that you take another pap in 3 months and at that time, based on the pathology make your decision.

i hurt constantly, my breast are tender and i am at a loss
i had a bad reaction to birth control (migraine, swelling of face)
currently on progestrone. dr says if this doesn’t work i need to have ovaries removed
