I am 42 years old, had one child with C-section due to high blood pressure in 1991, and until recently normal periods with no PMS. Jan. 6, 1999 I had a myomectomy for fibroids. Before the myomectomy I was anemic due to excessively heavy periods and was put on Lupron for 3 months. I was doing great until recently when I felt pain like contractions. Turned out I have an ovarian cyst the size of a baseball which appeared and grew since my Jan 6th surgery! My doctor is hinting at a hysterectomy. The cysts is fluid filled and my CA-125 test is fine so he does not bwelive it is cancerous but is having me do a consult with a gyn-cancer specialist this coming Monday. Doctor is hinting at hysterectomy. I DON’T WANT ONE! My health insurance is Kaiser. So am I stuck bearing the full costs of an FAS if I got one? Help quick with some answers and some guidance. Much appreciated. P.S. Read Dr. Hufnagle’s site before I had the myomectomy and was disappointed to learn that she lost her U.S. medical license. Very happy you are here. |
