It took me three years to finally decide that the Female Alternative Surgery was the only other option out there that would get the job done without me sacrificing my organs. After many tests, second and even third opinions, months of hemorrhaging, anemia, labor and delivery pains every month, not to mention all the different changes in lifestyle and eating habits that I hoped would get rid of my symptoms, I finally accepted the idea that I would have to have surgery. As I looked into FAS, … I decided to take a risk….. after all, if this surgery didn’t work I would still have all of my organs. In June 2007, with much prayer and the support of my husband and sons I was admitted and went into surgery bright and early the next day. They say you should never judge a book by its cover. So it is with FAS and its staff. The consideration and thought that Dr. del Junco Jr. and his staff put into not only the surgery but the recovery is truly awesome. Although I was in pain, I was able to walk the next day. For the next few days as I walked the hospital floor, I got to know the patients. It seemed that all of the patients that had had major surgery–less invasive than mine–on Monday, were still in pain and bed ridden all week. While they layed in bed everyday that week, my pain subsided and I became stronger and stronger. It was here that I began to realize how blessed I was to have Dr. del Junco Jr. as my doctor. Even the staff recognized and applauded his methods of recouperation. It’s been 3 months since I’ve had my surgery and just as Dr. del Junco Jr. had promised me, my periods are as normal as when I first began. My hemorrhaging, labor and delivery pains are completely gone. I do not have any side effects from surgery and I am now able to enjoy life to the fullest. Everything that the staff told me would happen is exactly as they had said. I am truly blessed. Thank you Dr. del Junco Jr., Patti and the entire staff at Temple Community, you all deserve a standing ovation for all that you do.
