My OBGYN diagnosed me with a myriad of symptoms such as fibroids, hormone changes, stress etc... It was confusing because I could never get a straight answer. All I can say is that I was in a great deal of pain and discomfort and I really needed help.

I had countless visits to the imaging centers getting numerous ultrasounds, vaginal ultra sounds, as well I got an MRI.

We even went to a leading Fertility specialist in Beverly Hills who claimed I needed to have a hysteroscopic myomectomy/Laparoscopy in order to remove my fibroid that was making me infertile. Hence to make matters worse, he prescribed me birth control pills a couple of weeks prior to my surgery in order to shrink the fibroid tumor.

Unfortunately, I was having a terrible reaction to the birth control pills. However he did not want me to stop taking them. He just said to stay on them regardless of the bad reaction. He made it very clear what I was going through was some normal hormonal adjustments to the pills.

Honestly, I wanted to throw up, I was beyond adjusting, I was downright nauseous. I was having dizzy spells and literally could not eat, walk or focus. A complete human zombie. I just felt ill. I kept thinking to myself, how could this be my body adjusting? In a sick sort of way, I would rather go through a few days of pain every month than a constant feeling of being very sick to my stomach.

Well the day finally came when I was scheduled to have my out patient Laparoscopy procedure.

From the minute I walked in to the surgical prep ward, I felt uneasy and my gut was telling me that this was not a good thing. But the thought of going through another month with the terrible pain and discomfort of what I thought at that time was a fibroid, I felt it was worth the risk and to focus on the outcome of feeling better.
